FAQ about DESIGN SERVICES

Works well for clients who prefer to work collaboratively on all aspects of their project involving decor choices, flooring, fixtures, and furnishings.  And/or for those who would like assistance with guiding tradespeople throughout the project. 

Works well for clients who prefer to delegate all or most of the design components of their project after the final design decisions are made. And, who need full oversight of tradespeople. 

Works well for clients who only need assistance choosing paint colors.  This includes an on-site evaluation, large sample sheets, digital color palette board(s) and preparing a paint schedule spreadsheet for the painting company. 

I am based in Princeton, NJ and Fenwick Island, DE.  In New Jersey, my work for clients has spanned the state from Short Hills to Stone Harbor, as well as to Center City Philadelphia.  In Delaware, I serve Fenwick Island and surrounding communities.

Working remotely via Zoom and FaceTime has opened a whole new clientele to serve, including those in upstate New York, Louisville, Chicago and Washington, DC.

It is a priority for me to create a great working relationship with the contractors and tradespeople that my clients hire for their projects. I work closely with them on project bid sheets; detailed spec sheets; paint schedules; takeoffs; delivery of product; and, installations. 

As a design-partner, I represent the client with their contractor and/or tradespeople. I meet with the contractor and/or tradesperson, create a project bid sheet and review the estimate along with my client. All contracts are signed directly between the client and the contractor and/or tradespeople.

CONCEPTIONAL CONSULTATION is a complimentary 1.5 hour on-site visit. 

FOUNDATION FEE is the initial fee - per space - for design evaluation & measurements, design board development, digital presentation, and product link spreadsheet.  Fee is paid with signed agreement. 

IMPLEMENTATION FEE is the fee for the execution of the design plan components. This allows clients the flexibility to set their own pace for the  project.  Fee is billed monthly. 

PAINT CONSULTATION FEE is a flat-rate fee and is for clients who only need assistance with paint choices. Services include an on-site evaluation, large sample sheets, digital color palette board(s) and preparing a paint schedule spreadsheet for the painting contractor.
